Chartered Structural Engineer
London
£60k-£65k plus benefits & bonus
We are working with a well-established structural engineering practice based in West London, with over 40 years of providing high-quality engineering solutions.
They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join our small, dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a broad range of building structure projects and become an integral part of our respected firm, with fastrack to Partnership for the right candidate.
About the Role:
As a Chartered Structural Engineer, you will be expected to manage a variety of projects from inception through to completion. With at least 10 years of UK experience, you will have a comprehensive understanding of building structures and will work on a wide range of projects across different sectors. You will have the opportunity to work with autonomy and use your initiative, taking on responsibility for project delivery and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects from initial concept design to project completion.
Deliver high-quality, innovative structural solutions for a range of building types.
Liaise with clients to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and ensure satisfaction.
Prepare and review design calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
Oversee the technical aspects of projects and collaborate with other team members.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
Work closely with other professionals (architects, contractors, etc.) to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and client communication throughout each project.
Key Requirements:
Chartered status (MIStructE or equivalent).
Minimum of 10 years of UK experience in structural engineering.
Extensive experience across a broad range of building structures projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Proven ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
Exceptional technical knowledge and expertise in structural design and analysis.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients, contractors, and consultants.
A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
Experience in working with both traditional and modern construction methods.
Proficiency in design software and tools (AutoCAD, TEDDS, or equivalent).
