Job Title: BIM/CAD Technician
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated BIM/CAD Technician to join our client's dynamic team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality 2D/3D models, drawings, and designs within the Building Services sector. This role requires proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to support the planning, design, and construction phases of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using CAD and BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) to meet project requirements.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop and refine designs.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of digital models for various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
Conduct clash detection and provide design coordination to minimise construction issues.
Update and maintain as-built drawings during the project life cycle.
Support the implementation of BIM work flows and ensure consistent application across projects.
Prepare and manage project documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
Provide support during the tender and construction phases of projects, ensuring timely and accurate design information is provided.
Coordinate with the wider team to ensure designs are fully integrated across disciplines.
