Mobile Service Engineer – Scrap Metal Machinery (Hydraulics)
Location: Nationwide travel across with frequent overnight stays
Salary: Competitive, based on experience + company van + tools + benefits
Are you a skilled engineer with strong hydraulics knowledge, electrical troubleshooting abilities, and a background in welding? Do you enjoy hands-on work and are willing to travel? Join our team as a Mobile Service Engineer, where you’ll be on the front lines, ensuring scrap metal machinery operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Hydraulics & Electrical Repair: Apply your hydraulic expertise and electrical troubleshooting skills to repair and maintain various scrap processing machinery, such as shredders, balers, shears, and crushers.
Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance, ensuring machinery reliability and longevity.
On-Site Service: Travel to client sites across the region/country to provide efficient, professional service with occasional overnight stays.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing guidance on best practices for equipment care.
What We’re Looking For:
Hydraulics Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems are essential for this role.
Electrical Knowledge: Ability to diagnose and fix common electrical faults on heavy machinery.
Welding Skills: Welding and fabrication experience is highly advantageous for this position.
Relevant Experience: Hands-on experience in mobile service roles, ideally with scrap or heavy machinery.
Physically Fit: The role requires physical stamina to handle machinery parts and operate in various environments.
Flexible Travel: Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
Full, Clean Driving License: Essential for the role.
