We are currently partnered with a National Housebuilder who have a growing PMO team for remediation work.
Job description
This role is responsible for ensuring that programme governance, data and processes are robust and can support the successful delivery of a lengthy programme with a large number of complex projects. These projects are remediation works on buildings so will work closely with the Manager delivering these works with a Contractor. The role will provide a check and challenge function to ensure that projects are accurately scheduled and planned for; that performance is accurately tracked, audited and reported on with issues rectified to ensure the project is completed successfully.
Key Tasks:
* Assist in the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services and deliverables.
* Track project performance and provide regular status updates, including ensuring deadlines and milestones are met and documented in line with the project standards.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans and schedules.
* Support the site team with documentation and reporting.
* Facilitate project status and other related meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and monitoring of actions.
* Identify and escalate risks and issues to the PMO Manager.
* Develop and maintain project dashboards and reports.
Essential experience
* Experience of handling multiple projects at one time, including the ability to plan, execute, control and close projects.
* High level IT skills, particularly in Excel, project management tools such as Asta PowerProject, and data visualisation tools such as PowerBI.
* Strong skills in creating and maintaining project plans, including risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and a commitment to exceptional customer care and service.
* Ideally APM or equivalent qualified
