Sutton Recruitment are accepting applications for a Human Resource Generalist to join a leading global storage solution provider, dedicated to offering innovative and reliable storage options worldwide.
The client allows businesses and consumers to store anything, anywhere, in flexible, safe and responsible ways.
With a legacy dating back to the 1980’s, they have revolutionised the global storage industry and evolved into the world’s largest family-owned containerised storage solutions company.
An extensive presence spanning 90 countries, offering a comprehensive range of storage options through six distinct brands. From self-storage to temperature-controlled facilities and dry storage, catering to a wide range of industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, and renewable energy.
The Company currently operates globally with 24 sites in the UK with further growth anticipated.
This is a key appointment for somebody who is truly motivated to work in a global operation and be part of its growth journey. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Specific Work Tasks & Responsibilities.
• Supporting and guiding department management on employee relations and performance.
• Offering recruitment assistance to the company.
• Improving, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the best candidates.
• Implementing programs to improve the employee experience of the organisation as a workplace.
• Support and advise on Health and Safety matters.
• Handling enquiries and employee relations as they arise.
• Backup for Global Payroll as necessary.
• Assisting with the implementation of a global HR software solution.
Reporting into the Global Human Resource Manager, this role will offer the full life cycle within Human Resources.
You will have an abundance of a generalist experience and knowledge on hand whilst having exposure to a global business, this role is for someone who is driven and wants to succeed within a reputable company with scope for further career progression and development.
Further duties and responsibilities will be included in this role as time progresses.
Requirements for this role:
• Qualification in HRM or qualified by experience.
• Experience across Microsoft 365.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with key stakeholders, team colleagues and other members of staff including external parties.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible to work outside normal business hours at times and carry out additional tasks if required.
• Possibility of some travel to other destinations and sites across the world.
• Adaptable to change and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience within H&S desirable but not essential.
• Experience within payroll desirable but not essential.

What’s on offer
Workplace: Hull.
Travel activity: Travel to other sites both nationally and internationally, if required.
Salary: £DOE.
Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus (paid once per year).
Holidays: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays.
Life Assurance: Day 1 benefit.
Health Insurance: After 3 months and on the next entry point of either April or October.
Salary Date: On or before 25th of each month.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – flexible hours when necessary to fulfil the role.
