This could be the opportunity you are looking for. Our client, a leading international IT hardware solutions supplier, has an opening for a Business Development Manager to join their successful and well-established sales team.
As a Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
Supported by the proactive marketing team you will be focused on generating new sales opportunities through a mix of telephone calls, emails, social selling, and networking.
You will have access to one of the industry's largest IT hardware stock inventories and be able to sell a range of IT hardware solutions including servers, workstations, networking solutions as well as components to businesses across the UK as well as internationally.
Once you are up and running, the role will evolve into a hybrid of business development and account management as you maintain and grow your client account base to secure recurring sales and revenue.

A proven track record in a business development or new business development role
Experience in account management would be beneficial but not essential as the sales team is supported by a retained sales trainer providing ongoing training, coaching, and support.
Able to demonstrate a track record in overachieving targets and be able to provide details of sales figures and achievements.
Ideally, your experience would be within the IT or electronics industry, particularly in IT hardware sales.

Client Engagement: Contact and utilise existing client accounts to understand customer needs.
Prospecting: Identify and cold call potential new customers to develop them into active clients.
Customer Interaction: Respond to telephone and email queries, and prepare and agree on written quotations.
Database Management: Ensure the CRM database is accurate and up-to-date.
Target Achievement: Meet personal weekly/monthly sales revenue and margin targets.
Customer Expansion: Extend existing customers' purchases of the company's product range.
Coordination: Liaise with Purchasing, Goods In, and Goods Out to meet customer expectations.
Customer Meetings: Book, attend, and host customer meetings.

Attention to Detail: Accurate in handling data and customer information.
Relationship Building: Capable of developing strong customer relationships over the phone and in person.

Team Player: Ability to work well with different departments, such as goods out/in the office.
