Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage the BMS work package and coordinate with M&E packages.
- Oversee site safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including the setup and maintenance of the Health and Safety File.
- Implement standard procedures for managing all aspects of BMS work packages.
- Set and manage site QA in collaboration with the Project Manager and team.
- Manage the project schedule, ensuring timely appointment and progress of subcontract packages.
- Report progress and provide weekly 3-week lookaheads, maintaining the site diary.
- Coordinate information requests and design elements with architects, design engineers, M&E designers, and contractors.
- Review issued information for content, buildability, compliance, programme impact, and variations.
- Ensure timely approval of all materials and systems via a technical submission process.
- Manage project costs with the support of the project QS.
- Conduct regular quality checks, create snag lists, and ensure zero snags on handover.
- Implement structured communication, information flow, progress, and cost monitoring systems with subcontractors.
- Participate in site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
- Manage the closeout of all project flow streams, including the final account, O&M manuals, safety file, and QA file.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and setting out requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in BMS Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Preferable experience in Data Centre or high-tech sectors.
- Proficiency in project management and information management software.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of civil, structural, building envelope, and finishes details.
