About the English Teacher role:
As an English Teacher in this school, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a love of literature, language, and creative writing.
Key Responsibilities for an English Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students
Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners
Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
Support students in developing their literacy skills across the curriculum
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it is dynamic and relevant
Uphold and promote the school's values, policies, and expectationsThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified English Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Have a passion for English and a genuine desire to inspire students
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the English curriculum
Be skilled in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
