Design Engineer

We are advertising on behalf of our client, an international business for an experienced Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join this business during a period of sustained growth with the ability to work in within a very varied and experienced team.

The role-

• Design new engineering products and processes using CAD software (2 & 3D)
• Create models and drawings of products.
• Research new product ideas and methods.
• Improve existing products and processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of design processes and outcomes.
• Write detailed reports and present findings to managers and customers.
• Find creative design solutions to problems.
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing teams.
• About you-
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, (AutoCAD is essential, solid works desirable).
• Experience of providing technical solutions to design challenges.
• Confident in working with projects of varying size, timeframe and complexity.
• Experience in design of components and assemblies.
• Previous manufacturing experience with a knowledge of the production environment would be beneficial.
• An understanding of design codes and classification rules and regulations.
• Previous experience working on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Engineering qualification and or equivalent experience.
