Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a Welder Fabricator to join their site services & utilities team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Maintain all company equipment and loose assets - fabrication & repairs of racks, moulds etc.
Work closely & support the site services / utilities team with any additional tasks
Welding - MiG, TiG, Stick
Mainly welding stainless steel and sometimes mild steel
Mechanical fabrication & general fitting work and repairs
Installation & fitting of pipework
Workshop tasks when needed - milling, turning, use of lathes
Supporting other team members with training on various welding techniques and tasks
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must be an experience welder and fabricator
Ideally have worked in the food manufacturing industry
Welding - must be able to do MiG, TiG & Stick
Able to use Oxy Acetylene equipment
Strong, proactive & effective communication skills
If previously been a coded welder that would be great
Must be able to mark up and fabricate own work
Happy to help in other areas of site services & utilities team - maintenance, breakdowns etc.
Any previous experience of manual machining - milling, turning, grinding would be beneficial
