Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with motor and generator experience
Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company based in Norfolk. We are working with a Norwich based client who specialise in the motors and generators market. Due to expansion my clienthare looking for a Senior Design Engineer who ideally has experience with motors and/or generators or as a minimum the design of rotating parts
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Production of accurate manufacturing drawings.
Production of full assembly drawings & parts lists from manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks PDM
Modifications and revision of design drawings.
Ability to understand engineering materials, properties & manufacturing processes of these materials.
Aid production with troubleshooting and design improvements.
The successful candidate will have previously worked on themechanical design of motors and generators and have the ability to work the mechanical design calculations including:
Ansys F E Package
Stress
Fatigue Analysis of critical components
Modal Analysis
Fluid Dynamics to assist in final fan design
Rotor Dynamics (ARMD)
Comsol
Qualifications/Experience
Minimum of HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related subjects.
Experience in drawing office methods & practices combined with good factory floor knowledge of machining & assembly processes.
Good all round knowledge of 2D/3D CAD systems as well as Microsoft Office.
Experience with SolidWorks / SolidWorks PDM or similar CAD software.
Ability to work as part of a strong team, as well as making informed decisions when working alone at site
