Job Description
Prime Appointments are currently looking for a talented Software Engineer to join a fast growing electronics manufacturer based on the outskirts of Colchester. They are looking for a Software Engineer who can design, develop and maintain software and Hardware solutions for Automated Test Equipment.
As a Software Engineer you will be required to:
Analyse and support customer requirements to deliver tailored solutions
Design and maintain software applications for ATE systems
Provide hardware and software support to production test departments
Create and maintain detailed, customer-oriented documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate innovative solutions
Troubleshoot, integrate, and optimise ATE systems for performance and reliabilitySkills and Qualifications required:
Proficiency in programming with C/C++ on Windows and Linux platforms.
Familiarity with object-oriented languages like C# and Python.
Experience using IDEs such as Visual Studio or JetBrains.
Working knowledge of version control systems, particularly GIT.
Solid communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of electronics and PC hardware interfacing.
Knowledge of international standards
Experience in the Test and Measurement industry or with embedded systems development.
