About Brilyant : We're seeking a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll lead a team of 20 talented engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and high-quality software development. Responsibilities : Technical Leadership & Mentorship : - Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers with diverse experience levels. - Lead by example, maintaining strong hands-on coding skills while effectively delegating and mentoring team members. - Assess technical requirements for new product initiatives, designing and implementing scalable, high-performance system architectures. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team. Project Management & Delivery : - Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. - Champion Agile and DevOps methodologies, promoting efficient development workflows and continuous integration/delivery practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., product, design) to ensure technical alignment and successful product launches. Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving : - Possess strong proficiency in full-stack development technologies, including React, Node.js, Python, HTML, CSS, and databases (e., MySQL, MongoDB). - Effectively troubleshoot complex technical challenges, identifying root causes and implementing solutions with a focus on maintainability and scalability. Communication & Collaboration : - Maintain clear and open communication with team members, stakeholders, and leadership, translating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 5-8 years of experience as a hands-on Engineering Manager in a fast-paced environment. - Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams. - In-depth knowledge of full-stack development technologies (React, Node.js, Python, HTML, CSS). - Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (i.e., MySQL, MongoDB). - Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. - Experience working in a startup environment, a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
