SSIS Administrator - SQL Server

Job Description : a) Experienced SSIS Administrator to manage and maintain ETL process using SSIS b) Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSIS packages and data flow c) Should have proficient to Unix basic commands, Shell Scripting and understanding of the File system management d) Good to have understanding of Azure Cloud computing and familiarity with Cloud based data integration tool. Key Responsibilities : 1. SSIS Package Management : - Develop, deploy, and manage SSIS packages to support data transformation and integration workflows. - Monitor SSIS package execution and resolve failures or performance issues. 2. Server Administration : - Manage SQL Server Integration Services configuration on servers. - Ensure SSIS jobs and processes align with organizational data workflows. - Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches for SQL Server. 3. Troubleshooting and Optimization : - Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues in ETL processes. - Optimize data load strategies to ensure high performance and scalability. 4. Security and Compliance : - Implement role-based security for SSIS packages. - Ensure adherence to data governance and compliance policies. 5. Collaboration and Support : - Work closely with database administrators, developers, and data analysts. - Provide support for SSIS-related incidents and service requests. 6. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain documentation for SSIS workflows, configurations, and deployment processes. - Generate reports on ETL performance and error handling. Required Skills and Qualifications : Technical Expertise : - Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS. - Knowledge of ETL design, implementation, and best practices. - Familiarity with SQL Server Agent for job scheduling. Tools and Technologies : - Experience with data integration tools and version control systems. - Understanding of other Microsoft technologies like SSRS and SSAS is a plus. Soft Skills : - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3-5 years of experience in SSIS administration and development. - Certifications like Microsoft Certified : Data Engineer Associate or equivalent are advantageous.
