Java Automation Engineer

Job Title : Java Automation Engineer Number of Positions : 14 Mode of Work : On-site, Bangalore (5-day office mandate) Job Description Ikonmytri Services is seeking skilled Java Automation Engineers to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. Responsibilities : - Develop and implement robust test automation frameworks and utilities using Core Java. - Design, script, and execute API functional and E2E testing for backend systems, including databases, batch jobs, events, queues, and Kafka. - Create and execute UI functional and E2E tests (manual and automated) for web and responsive applications using tools like Selenium, Maven, and TestNG. - Perform thorough debugging on cloud infrastructure, including logs and monitoring tools, to ensure smooth automation and application functionality. - Adhere to and promote software engineering best practices, such as coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and automated testing. - Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test cases. - Be a quick learner and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies. Must-Have Skills : - Core Java: Strong coding and programming skills with the ability to create on demand utilities and tools. - Automation Design & Execution: Experience in scripting and implementing test automation frameworks. - Testing Expertise: Strong understanding of testing principles, including backend and frontend manual and automated testing. - API Testing: Proficiency in tools like Rest Assured, Postman, and experience with backend testing involving databases, queues, and Kafka. - UI Testing: Experience in designing and executing tests for web and responsive applications using Selenium, Maven, and TestNG. - CI/CD and Debugging: Automated reporting, cloud-based debugging, and monitoring for applications and automation processes. - Software Development Practices: Familiarity with professional SDLC practices, including Git, code reviews, and build processes. Preferred Skills : - Kafka Applications: Hands-on experience in testing Kafka-based applications. - Test Automation Frameworks: Expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks using Java's Selenium, TestNG, or API/Web services automation. - CI/CD Pipelines: Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrating with Maven. - Unit Testing: Knowledge of unit test frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG.
