Offer Description Gruppo scientifico-disciplinare: 09/IIND-01 - Aerospace and naval engineering Specific duties of the researcher (job description): The candidate will be engaged in the SpaceIT-UP Project, specifically in the activities of Spoke 1 related to planetary exploration missions. The focus will be on the modeling and simulation of high enthalpy flows for analyzing vehicle entry into planetary atmospheres, utilizing appropriate computational fluid dynamics techniques. Teaching responsibilities will include courses at the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels in the scientific sector IIND-01/F, with a specific focus on Fluid Dynamics and advanced courses related to the scientific field. The teaching activity aims to develop a multidisciplinary scientific and professional education for students and enhance their skills and expertise. The position requires a researcher with documented experience in computational fluid dynamics for hypersonic flows. Relevant topics include thermochemical non-equilibrium models, gas-surface interaction, immersed boundary technique, and high-performance computing. The researcher will carry out collaboration and coordination activities for research projects and technology transfer, aiming to strengthen scientific collaborations across different disciplines and develop international partnerships.
