Do you want to help our customers to adopt cutting-edge cloud computing technology, solve the biggest of “big data” problems, work with Internet scale distributed systems, and see the impact of your work with happy and successful customers? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with customers and several AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect.

Key job responsibilities:

• Build a strong foundation of knowledge around AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem.
• Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.
• Assist with training sessions for customers considering or already using AWS.
• Collaborate with experienced solutions architects to craft and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++.
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows).
• English fluent, written and verbal.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution.
• Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
• Technical degree desired; Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
