About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Golang Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This position is located in Burgess Hill, London, and offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative environment. The role is inside IR35, with a pay rate of £350-£400 per day.

This is a Deploy-to-Hire (DTH) opportunity, meaning there is potential for longer-term collaboration based on performance and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Go (Golang).
• Work with tools and technologies including Kafka, Git, Docker, and RestAssured to deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement automated testing frameworks, leveraging Cucumber for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Optimise applications for performance and scalability in a production environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6-9 years of experience in software development, with significant expertise in Go (Golang).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time messaging and event streaming.
• Strong knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration.
• Proficiency in automated testing frameworks like RestAssured and Cucumber.
• Experience working with Docker for containerisation and deployment.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
