Network Engineer

IT Senior Network Officer About My Client: They are a leading provider of higher and further education, serving over 429,000 people across 5 locations. Role Overview: The IT Senior Network Officer will support the IT Systems Manager in designing and developing the College's network architecture. Responsibilities include managing, maintaining, and supporting the College's network infrastructure and its links with other networks. Key Responsibilities: Assist the IT Team and contribute to my clients' mission and strategic goals. Participate in performance appraisals and adhere to my clients' policies. Implement and support equality and diversity policies. Qualifications and Experience: Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline with 3+ years of IT networking experience, or 7+ years of relevant IT networking experience, or Associate level networking qualification (e.g., Cisco CCNA) with 2+ years of relevant experience. Skills: Advanced knowledge of Ethernet switches, routing protocols, and network security. Experience with CISCO/HP networking and Microsoft network services. Knowledge of low-level network protocols and wireless network equipment. Other Requirements: Ability to travel between NRC sites and external events. Flexibility and capability to work in various physical conditions. This job closes on Friday 29th November for application and interviews will be held in early December.
