About the Role: As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping function for a variety of clients. Working within a hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days from home), you will ensure clients receive top-tier support for their bookkeeping and cloud accounting needs. While this is a full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm), we are also happy to consider applications from candidates looking for part-time opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Supporting clients with their cloud-based accounting software, primarily Xero and QuickBooks. Managing clients' day-to-day accounting needs, providing excellent service and support. Addressing clients' queries and solving issues related to their accounting systems. Collaborating with the wider team on accounting and administrative tasks when needed. The Candidate: To excel in this role, you will need: Direct experience with Xero accounting software and the ability to support clients confidently. Prior bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accountancy practice (though not essential). Strong knowledge of cloud-based accounting software, including Xero and QuickBooks. A bookkeeping qualification from a recognised organisation, such as AAT, ICB, IAB, or City & Guilds (highly desirable). Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach. Proficiency in spreadsheets and general computing skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, supporting clients with their systems and collaborating with colleagues to deliver excellent service. You'll also need to be personable, team-oriented, and highly organised, with a passion for providing excellent client service. The Package: Competitive salary based on experience and expertise.
