Precision Pump Shaft Centre Lathe Turner

We have an opportunity for an experienced Precision Pump Shaft Centre Lathe Turner to work with one of our established engineering clients in Liverpool who specialises in the manufacturing and supply of precision valves and components.

The role:

• Working from precision engineering drawings
• Rough out and finish turn shafts up to 4m in length
• Working with various grades of steel, stainless steel and alloy steels on a centre lathe

Essential Requirements:

• Must be a time served engineer or hold an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or Equivalent
• Work from detailed engineering drawings
• Understand ISO 9001:2015 quality systems
• Previous experience in using steadies and turning precision pump shafts up to 4.0m in length
• Previous experience with machining of exotic metals (super duplex, duplex, 718 x 750, Hastelloy, Monel etc
• Previous experience in a similar position (4 Years minimum)
• Good Planning and organising
• Attention to detail

Hours of work:

Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 16.30 Fri 07.30 - 12.30

Salary:

£34,000 - £36,000 with Overtime OTE £48,000 per annum
