Transformation Communications Manager

Location: This position can be based in the UK, with occasional travel required to other global offices needed.

About the role:

The Transformation Communications Manager will be responsible for executing detailed communication strategies to support organisational transformation initiatives. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure effective and timely dissemination of information across various channels and working with various country teams to deploy communications. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and the ability to simplify complex information and produce newsletters and digital content.

The role will require you to work closely with the Change Management and Training teams to deliver communications activities for transformation projects. It therefore requires exceptional communication and strong writing skills, the ability to think about the bigger picture, and a strong understanding of project management skills to ensure successful implementation of communication plans that drive engagement and alignment as well as an understanding among diverse stakeholders.

Who we're looking for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Tactical Communication Plans: Create and implement detailed communication plans that outline specific actions, timelines, and deliverables supporting transformation projects that align with the change management and training strategy.
  • Content Creation: Write and produce high-quality content for internal communications, including emails, newsletters, intranet updates and social media posts.
  • Awareness and Adoption Communication: Develop and implement communication interventions to aid awareness and adoption related to transformation initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with project teams, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Channel Management: Oversee the use of various communication channels, ensuring messages are tailored to the audience and delivered effectively.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute town halls, webinars, and other events to communicate transformation progress and gather feedback.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Track and analyse the effectiveness of communication efforts using metrics and feedback, alongside the change team.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to colleagues on communication best practices and tools.
  • Feedback Loop: Establish and maintain a feedback loop to continuously improve communication strategies and tactics.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change communications, with a focus on tactical execution.
  • An excellent command of English with strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms such as SharePoint and Viva Engage.
  • Experience in managing multiple communication channels and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and report on communication effectiveness.
