My client is a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry with a commitment to quality and innovation. They are dedicated to creating a collaborative and dynamic work environment where employees can grow and thrive. My client is in search of a Staff Accountant to join the finance team!

Job Description
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Record and analyze financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with cash management.
  • Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis related to manufacturing operations.
  • Help prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
  • Support the auditing process by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
