Senior DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Tools

Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems to streamline software delivery. - Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, tools, and processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability. - Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for production, QA, and development environments to support smooth operations across stages. - Participate in the ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools that support release engineering and CI/CD functions. - Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the deployment process and to identify areas for improvement. - Write and maintain clear and detailed infrastructure documentation for reference and knowledge sharing. - Own production incidents/issues, providing timely resolution and support for infrastructure incidents and alerts as they arise. - Work with third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues efficiently. Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. - At least 6 years of relevant industry experience, with specific expertise in CI/CD engineering and release management. - Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, or comparable alternatives. - Expertise in source code management (SCM) systems like Git and familiarity with tools like Gerrit and Jira. - Hands-on experience with Linux Containers (e., Docker), Kubernetes, and the deployment of containerized applications in a microservices architecture. - Proficiency in CI/CD and automation concepts, with experience using automated testing and DevOps tools. - Strong understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and operational best practices. - Ability to respond to and manage infrastructure incidents effectively, with excellent troubleshooting skills (ref:hirist.tech)
