Incident Response Consultant - Cyber Security

Key Responsibilities : - Lead incident response efforts, managing and investigating security incidents, breaches, and attacks (e., ransomware). - Perform detailed cyber forensics investigations, including log analysis and malware analysis, to understand the scope of security incidents. - Collaborate with various teams during security breaches, providing expert insights and guidance on containment, eradication, and recovery. - Conduct risk assessments and evaluate security risks related to cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities. - Utilize a variety of cybersecurity tools and technologies to detect, analyze, and respond to incidents in real time. - Provide hands-on support in the recovery from cyber incidents, including ransomware attacks and other security breaches. - Document incident findings, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improving cybersecurity practices and incident response processes. - Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, enhancing incident response strategies accordingly. Key Skills and Qualifications : - 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response and forensics. - Expertise in cyber forensics, log analysis, and malware analysis. - Hands-on experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and managing security breaches. - In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies for incident detection, analysis, and recovery. - Proven experience in ransomware recovery and mitigating advanced cyber threats. - Engineering degree in any stream, or post-graduation in CS/IT or a related field. Industry certifications such as : - Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) - Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) - Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) - Certified Computer Security Incident Handler (CSIH) - CompTIA Security - Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) - Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) (ref:hirist.tech)
