Sr. Rail Telecoms Engineer

Context SYSTRA is actively seeking highly talented Sr. Rail Telecoms Engineer to join our Rail Systems Team in Italy (Turin/Rome). Missions/Main Duties The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead performing project work, preparing design drawings and documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, proposals, calculations, and studies associated with Telecoms systems for railways, metro, and tramways/LRT. Profile/Skills Requirements: Master or Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent title 8 years of experience Excellent speaking, writing and editing skills in English Essential Skills and Knowledge: Experience in leading the production, checking and approval of Telecoms (Rail) conceptual and detailed designs, including design calculations, single line diagrams, plan development, layout plans, specifications, BoQs, and technical report writing. Experience in design of Telecoms (Rail) technical rooms and facility, equipment sizing, cable sizing, duct bank routing and configuration. Competent in designing Telecoms systems including: • Data Network/Multiservice Network • Radio and Wi-Fi systems • GSM-R and FRMCS • Telephone and Interphone • Public Address • Passenger Information • Interface and Integration with signalling, OCC, rolling stock, power supply/electrification, MEP and SCADA. • Cyber security Experience in undertaking site surveys/site visits and supporting/supervising T&C. Experience of Telecoms equipment installation methods and practices. Interest in mentoring team members and collaborating with peers. Teamwork.
