The Process Design Engineer is involved in the different design phases, from early concept to advanced basic design of capital projects and handover to project execution functions. The Process Design Engineer is responsible to design and explore the technical solutions ensuring that processes are efficient, compliant with regulations, and aligned with GSK's quality and innovation goals. This role is pivotal in ensuring the appropriate sizing of investments and establish the necessary conditions for the right-first-time execution of projects following budget approval. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Ensure all projects have harmonized process design strategies, leveraging as-is assets performance experience and innovation. Work with FEED Manager, Projects Delivery leaders, delivering the design services from concept to basic design through strong collaboration with MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and EHS functions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to process design on capital projects. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed project documentation including, but not limited to, URS, flow diagrams, project narratives for proposal, and project design stage gate reviews. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is a plus. Experience: Previous experience in process design or project engineering in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of process engineering principles, continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and process modeling tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and use statistical tools to make informed decisions. Basic financials. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Languages: Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
