Job Description
Anson McCade are delighted to be partnering with a innovative digital transformation consultancy as they seek to appoint Integration Architect to their growing teams in the United Kingdom. Our client work closely with varied clients delivering large-scale technical transformation projects across varied sectors.
As Integration Architect you will design, implement and optimise end-to end integrations solutions ensuring effective data exchange and process orchestration across varying platforms.
As the Integration Architect you will:
- Develop, optimize, and manage comprehensive integration solutions to enable efficient data sharing and workflow automation across diverse systems, platforms, and applications.
- Identify and deploy middleware technologies and integration platforms, such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Integration Services, to facilitate smooth interaction between cloud-based and on-premise systems.
- Build and oversee scalable APIs and microservices architectures, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity between internal systems, external partners, and third-party applications.
- Utilize standardized integration approaches, including REST APIs, SOAP protocols, messaging queues, and enterprise service buses (ESB), to ensure seamless system-to-system communication.
- Maintain data consistency and accuracy through robust data mapping, transformation processes, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines
- Establish integration frameworks, guidelines, and governance models that prioritize scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with business objectives.
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and developers to assess integration needs, document technical requirements, and deliver tailored solutions that support organizational goals.
- Embed security protocols into integration solutions to protect sensitive data and ensure adherence to compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry regulations.
- Prepare detailed documentation of integration workflows, architectures, and processes while providing training and support to internal teams and end-users as required.
Key experience required for the Integration Architect role includes:
- Over 5 years of professional experience in integration architecture, system design, or software architecture, with a strong emphasis on enterprise system integration.
- Demonstrated expertise in using integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, IBM Integration Bus, or similar tools.
- Proven proficiency in designing and managing APIs, with in-depth knowledge of technologies like REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
- Extensive experience with middleware technologies, message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and enterprise service bus (ESB) architectures.
- Comprehensive understanding of integration patterns, including publish/subscribe, message queuing, event-driven systems, and orchestration/choreography models.
- Practical experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as implementing hybrid cloud integration solutions.
- Solid knowledge of data formats and standards (e.g., XML, JSON, EDIFACT) and expertise in data transformation processes using ETL methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and frameworks, including microservices architectures, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing models.
