Mechanical Fitter

Lodestone Recruitment are currently working in partnership with our client in the Oldham area who have a requirement for a Mechanical Fitter.

The engineering business works across various sectors within heavy engineering, including Oil & Gas, Defence and the Nuclear industry and they require someone with knowledge of machine build or machine tool or similar experience.

Candidates should have the following experience to be considered for the Mechanical Fitter role:

• Must be apprentice trained or time served as a Mechanical Fitter
• Must have good mechanical fitting skills with some electrical knowledge.
• Ideally have experience working on heavy engineering projects such as housing for big fabrications working on components for the Oil & Gas, Nuclear or similar sectors or worked on large scale turnkey projects.
• Experience in using manual machines like lathes, assembly and machine build are key parts of the role.
• Ideally come from a Machine Tool fitting background.

The company is located in Oldham area with good links to M62.

The offer for the role of Mechanical Fitter:

Salary: £30,500/annum + overtime (paid at x1.5)

Shifts: Regular days Monday to Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Hours: 37.5-hour week with occasional overtime

Excellent Pension: Employer contribution 10%/Employee 5%
