£13.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Retail Security Officer to join our well-established client based in Edinburgh City Centre.

We are seeking an experienced and professional Security Officer that holds a valid SIA Licence with a natural talent for retail security to join our client in keeping their customers safe.

Day to Day Duties

Working as a Retail Security Officer for our client your duties will be:

• You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock.
• Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.
• Providing assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Essential Skills

As a Retail Security Officer it is essential that you:

• Can deal with any difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct and perform other duties as assigned
• Are willing to work full time hours
• Have a valid SIA Licence

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Able to assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risks
• Local knowledge of area advantageous

• Relevant training provided
