Job Title : Finance Transformation Manager (Invoice to Pay) Salary: £44,100 - £55,000 (Depending on Experience) Location : Belfast Benefits: 25 days annual leave, Up to 12% Bonus Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar employee contribution is up to 6% Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution. About the team The Global Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence is an international team, strategically based across four key locations worldwide. Our Team is dedicated to driving operational excellence and delivering impactful solutions across 5 critical pillars: Record to Report Invoice to Cash Invoice to Pay Tax Statutory With a focus on innovation and efficiency, we collaborate across regions and functions to standardize processes, enhance performance and support the organization's strategic goals. The Opportunity As an integral part of the Continuous Improvement (CI) Center of Excellence, specifically focused on standardization, optimization and digitalization, the candidate will support the execution of our continuous improvement framework within the Global Business Services scope, with focus, but not exclusively, on the Invoice-to-Pay processes (ITP). A thorough understanding and experience in transforming Invoice to Pay processes is essential. This includes invoice processing, payment methodologies, remittance advice issuance, vendor inquiries, dispute management, issues resolution, internal controls, and collaboration with Procurement and external teams. What You Will Do Drive continuous improvement activities including mapping current and future process maps, driving corrective actions, and developing, tracking, and measuring qualitative and quantitative results. Drive a culture of innovation, simplification and continuous improvement through best practice sharing, advocacy, and hands-on leadership. Partner with senior leadership, understand business goals, analyze opportunities, and develop improvement plans for various workflows/systems and technologies. Build roadmaps that support the tactical execution of key continuous improvement initiatives across stakeholder teams. Ensure consistent application of continuous improvement tools, methodologies, and best practices to accelerate improvements at scale. Identifies and engage subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in continuous improvement. What You Have: Technical Skills: Knowledge of best practices in invoice processing, supplier inquiry & helpdesk design, remittance advice issuance, vendor inquiries and dispute management Knowledge and understanding of the mechanics in the ITP process stream and how these fit into the end-to-end financial process environment. Tech-Savy Mindset: Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and leverage new technologies and tools for process optimization and problem solving ERP Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (E.g. SAP, Oracle, QAD) and a strong understanding of their workflow and reporting capabilities Automation Tools: Familiarity with process automation technologies such as RPA or workflow tools to streamline operations. Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources. Diagnostic capabilities to identify improvement opportunities. Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and navigate without a formal authority to deliver on business results. Continuous Learning: A proactive attitude toward learning emerging technologies and integrating them into process improvement initiatives. Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Top Candidates may also demonstrate some of the following: Skills developed through working within a consultancy environment MSc/MBA in a scientific or business discipline Accounting certification or an equivalent combination of related experience Understanding and working knowledge of financial systems (SAP, QAD, etc) and ITP specific tools (e.g. OCR, Supplier Portals, Invoice Workflow tools) Additional Information: We operate a hybrid working week consisting of three days in the office and two from home.
