Import Operator

Import Operator required for our client based in Crawley. Our client are offering a salary up to £35k and great progression and benefits after a successful probation period.

This is an exciting opportunity to welcome a team member within the Import department of a 40-year strong specialist freight company. The potential candidate must have prior Import and customs experience, exports would also be an advantage.

Import Operator Job Overview

• Handling incoming calls & customer communication
• Preparing and providing job quotations
• Processing operational import duties
• Liaising with all contractors & international customers
• Job costing and invoicing
• Completing Customs documentation
• Working closely with Warehouse teams

Import Operator Job Requirements

• Experience in quoting freight /
• Willingness to assist warehouse department when required
• Experience in Ocean Freight
• Experience in dealing with dangerous goods - desirable
• Experience using Customs documentation / systems
• Proven ability in managing imports from start to finish
  

Import Operator Salary & Benefits

• Monday - Friday (09:00 - 18:00)
• Salary range £30 - £35K
• 3 months' probation period
• 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
• Company laptop
