Are you an experienced HR and Finance professional looking to make a significant impact within a prestigious academic institution? This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities, allowing you to leverage your expertise in both human resources and financial management while contributing to the strategic goals.
- As a key member of the professional services team, the HR & Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing streamlined processes, fostering an inclusive culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Department Manager, Professional Services teams, HR and Finance teams, key academics, and external partners.
- This role offers ample opportunities for professional development, including leading recruitment processes, managing financial planning and audits, and advising on HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and communicate up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
- Provide confidential guidance on all HR matters to senior leadership.
- Oversee recruitment processes, staff induction, and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with visa and Right to Work regulations.
- Act as the Inclusion Lead, advising on Equality and Diversity issues.
Finance Management:
- Serve as the first point of contact for departmental financial issues.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, assist in budget planning, and monitor accounts.
- Authorise financial transactions and ensure compliance with Financial Regulations.
- Manage expense claims, credit card payments, and scholarship fee payments.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in HR and financial management within a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- A proactive and confident approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
