Job Description
In support of RBG Kew's mission, you will be responsible for the upkeep and advancement of essential Azure and Office 365 cloud services as well as IT systems. These systems are the backbone of our IT services, catering to both internal and external users. Your primary focus will be on system design, installations, and system builds. You will play a key role in aiding the IT team in the seamless delivery, monitoring, and management of our daily production environments. This includes enhancing system security, configurations, and maintenance, and ensuring that documentation and diagrams are kept up to date.

Essential
- Azure Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in working with Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, and Azure App Service and identify issues and trouble shoot.
- Office365: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Security and Compliance: Understanding of security best practices in Azure and Office 365, as well as compliance requirements and how to implement them.
- Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in automating routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Identity and Access Management: Expertise in managing user identities, access controls, and authentication mechanisms in Azure and Office 365.
- Documentation and knowledge sharing: A commitment to maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Committing to provide training of technical areas and upskilling colleagues in IT.
- Network Fundamentals: Knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations relevant to Azure and Office 365.
This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary for this position is£45,200 - £52,312 per annum, depending on skills and experience [Band E]
