The group develops and manages the infrastructure, tools, and analytical services needed to drive intelligent applications. The role As a Principal Machine Learning Architect, you will collaborate with the Engineering Director to design and deploy scalable, high-performance ML solutions. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of machine learning initiatives, driving innovation, and developing robust systems. You will also lead and mentor the ML Engineering team, ensuring they stay at the forefront of technology and continue advancing the innovation strategy. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge ML systems to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Architectural Leadership Lead the design and development of scalable ML architectures aligned with business goals, implementing best practices for model development, deployment, and maintenance. Technical Strategy Drive the strategic vision for ML, translating business needs into actionable solutions. Stay current with ML technologies to ensure innovation. Model Development & Deployment Oversee testing, deployment, and monitoring of ML models, optimizing for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with teams to integrate models into production. Team Leadership & Mentorship Mentor ML engineers and data scientists, fostering innovation and continuous learning. Provide technical guidance on complex challenges. Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver valuable ML solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Compliance & Ethics Ensure all ML processes adhere to industry standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines for responsible AI use. Ideal candidate Experience Proven expertise in leading the design, development, and deployment of large-scale ML systems. Strong background in statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning algorithms. Maybe a background in MLOps Technical Skills Proficient in Python and Java/Kotlin. Extensive experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Skilled in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying ML models. Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL, and big data technologies. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership abilities. Strong communication, collaboration, and team management skills. Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in deep learning, NLP, and GenAI. Familiar with MLOps practices and tools. Contributions to open-source ML projects or reputable publications.
