Python Automation Developer - API & Performance Testing

Job Title : Python Automation Developer Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled Python Automation Developer with expertise in DB2 and a strong background in API testing and performance testing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Pytest and BDD methodologies and possess a solid understanding of data validation techniques across various formats (JSON, XLSX, CSV, XML). Key Responsibilities : Automation Development : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest. - Implement BDD (Behavior Driven Development) practices to enhance collaboration between development and QA teams. API Testing : - Create and execute comprehensive test cases for RESTful APIs, ensuring functionality, reliability, and performance. - Utilize tools like Postman or similar for API testing and Testing : - Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. - Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement. Database Management : - Work with DB2 databases to perform data validation and verification. - Write SQL queries to validate test data and ensure data integrity. Data Validation : - Perform data validations for various formats, including JSON, XLSX, CSV, and XML. - Develop and execute test cases to validate data accuracy and consistency across different data formats. Documentation and Reporting : - Document test plans, test cases, and test results. - Report defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to enhance code quality and test : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : - 3 years of experience in Python automation development. - Strong experience in API testing and performance testing. - Proficient in using Pytest and BDD Skills : - Solid knowledge of DB2 databases and SQL. - Experience with data validation across formats such as JSON, XLSX, CSV, and XML. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
