Job Purpose / Duties:

The Procurement team within CCS has undergone rapid growth and transformation over the last 6-month period, necessitating the appointment of a capable Procurement Manager. The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading the expansion and development of the current team, providing guidance to staff in principles of effective leadership, and driving process enhancement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Commercial Director on a strategic and day to day basis.
  • Overseeing the Procurement Team on a day to day basis.
  • Management of Supply Chain by way of regular reviews and meetings and providing feedback using weighted scorecard, KPIs and Service agreement.
  • Reporting weekly to Commercial Director with regards to current reporting structure and further enhancements against defined actions and duties.
  • Management of weekly, monthly and forecasting future spending via Protean system to ensure consistent supply to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that Pre & Post Procurement teams are operating in the manner required and the levels of service are strong.
  • Completing and overseeing regular stocktake process at all branch locations and liaising with the compliance team for van audits again using Protean.
  • Managing all Invoice Queries in a sensible timeframe and ensure detailed communication with supply chain.
  • Understanding of the Operations Manual and ensuring it is followed by all team members, this will also need further development as we progress as a business. business and creation and upkeep of Operations Manual and staff guides.
  • Continuously monitor, develop, and refine existing internal KPIs for the team, ensuring that precision, excellence, and work quality are upheld in alignment with the ongoing expansion.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and implementing all procurement procedures and process controls, managing day-to-day staff actions, and providing support to the procurement team.
  • Providing detailed weekly reports to the Commercial Directors and other directors upon request.
  • Assisting in the onboarding and sourcing of new material suppliers.
  • Leading dispute resolution efforts involving both internal and external stakeholders related to materials and services and ensuring proper reporting of non-conformances in compliance with regulations.
  • Utilising the Protean suite of products to create reports benefiting the commercial and procurement departments.
  • Hosting regular procurement meetings for internal stakeholders, offering insights on stock, and providing a general overview for their understanding.
  • Participating in client meetings upon request to discuss products and pricing or preparing documents for issuance/use at these meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, with a preference for experience with Access.
  • Experience within a Procurement environment.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of M&E contractors or social housing contracts would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Procurement and Process driven background with a proven track record for success.
