KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our KPMG Managed Services (https://kpmg.com/us/en/capabilities-services/advisory-services/kpmg-managed-services.html) practice.


Responsibilities:




  • Participate in scrums with the team to understand requirements.




  • Oversee data management tasks such as data loading, data backup/recovery, data replication, and database tuning.




  • Collaborate with software architects and developers to design databases that meet project requirements. Develop database structures, procedures, and data standards.




  • Monitor databases to optimize database performance and diagnose issues. Manage database log review and implement database optimization strategies.




  • Implement and maintain security policies. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard the database.




  • Collaborate with other team members, IT departments, and leadership. Report on database management and performance.




Qualifications:




  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in managing and administering enterprise-level databases, preferably in an Agile Scrum environment.




  • Strong technical understanding of Database Administration in Cloud platforms with focus on RDBMS and NoSQL flavors of database offerings like MSSQL Server (IaaS), Azure SQL DB (PaaS) and Cosmos DB(PaaS). Certification related to Database offerings in Cloud is a plus.




  • Experience/knowledge of supporting and tuning ETL/ELT processes.




  • Responsible for Database security requirements and best practices leading to fulfill Audit requirements like (SOC/PCI etc.) and vulnerability management.




  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with benefits, risks and challenges) while providing thought leadership to stakeholders in solving critical technical problems.




  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes.




  • Possess strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
