Backend Engineer - Golang Programming

Job Title : Backend Engineer (FinTech) Location : Remote Experience Level : 12-14 years Tech Stack : GCP, Go, Kafka (Red Panda), Kubernetes, PostgreSQL Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with a strong background in building robust and scalable systems, particularly in the FinTech domain. This role involves working on critical systems like self-clearing, accounting, and ledger management, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities : Core System Development : 1. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a core system relied upon by millions of end users. 2. Implement backend services with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Self-Clearing and System Design : 1. Work on achieving self-clearing capabilities and integrating with clearinghouses like DTCC. 2. Collaborate on the design of architecture that emphasizes fault tolerance and performance. Ownership and Problem-Solving : 1. Take ownership of tasks, proactively addressing technical challenges. 2. Propose innovative solutions and implement best practices for robust system designs. Technical Leadership : 1. Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring adherence to domain-driven and event-driven design principles. 2. Provide insights into designing systems that are reliable and scalable under high transaction volumes. Debugging and Testing : 1. Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, implementing CI/CD practices. 2. Debug issues effectively and implement solutions that prevent recurrence. Key Skills & Requirements : Technical Expertise: 1. Proficiency in Go programming language. 2. Experience with messaging systems like Kafka (Red Panda preferred). 3. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration. 4. Expertise in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. Cloud and Infrastructure : 1. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud platforms. 2. Familiarity with containerization and cloud-native application development. Domain Knowledge : 1. FinTech experience, with knowledge of double-entry accounting, ledger management, and clearing/settlement processes. 2. Prior experience integrating with clearinghouses (e.g., DTCC). Design & Architecture : 1. Expertise in domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architecture (EDA). 2. Proven ability to foresee problems and design solutions proactively. Soft Skills : 1. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. 2. Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications : 1.
