Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Performance/Functional Testing

Key Responsibilities : - Lead the performance testing of ETL pipelines and data workflows, ensuring that data processing tasks perform efficiently and meet SLAs. - Perform comprehensive ETL testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across large data sets. - Design and implement automated test scripts to streamline ETL testing processes using tools such as Talend, Selenium, JUnit, or PyTest. - Collaborate with data engineers to validate ETL jobs, ensuring data quality, transformation correctness, and completeness across Snowflake and other data platforms. - Develop, manage, and execute test cases for ETL processes and ensure all workflows meet regulatory compliance standards. - Perform data masking and data security testing to ensure sensitive data is appropriately handled and complies with internal and external data protection regulations. - Write and maintain clear and detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, ensuring traceability and auditability of the testing process. - Identify, report, and track defects in ETL processes and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity between various data sources, transformations, and target systems. - Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide testing input and help ensure that the ETL processes are testable and maintainable. - Monitor and evaluate ETL job execution, troubleshoot performance issues, and make recommendations for improvements. - Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for improving the performance of ETL pipelines, including SQL optimization, parallel processing, and resource management. - Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL, data quality, automated testing, and compliance.
