Slack App Developer - Python/Javascript

Job Responsibilities : - Build and customize Slack and other collaboration workspaces - Identify the gaps between current and desired end-states of Slack and plan solutions - Improve collaboration and SaaS integrations to ensure consistent performance of the app - Support and escalate points for technical issues and resolve Slack escalation queues - Assist with delivery management processes and enforcement - Offer trainings of all Slack, custom Slack apps, workflow, and other digital workplace tools Job Requirements : - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience) - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with SaaS and Slack - Knowledge of digital workplace tools, specifically Slack Admin, Slack Workflows, Slack Forms, Slack APPs and APIs - Strong grasp of Python and AWS - Expertise in configuration and integration using tools like PowerShell, JavaScript, Postman, etc. - Proficiency with web services/RESTful APIs - Strongholds on databases, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL models Preferred Skills : - Familiarity with networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks - Understanding of cloud security models and API security models - Practical knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile Frameworks - Experience working in an Agile environment - Good interpersonal and communication skill - A Slack app developer's job description typically includes : - Building and customizing : Creating and customizing Slack workspaces and other collaboration tools - Identifying gaps : Identifying and addressing gaps between the current and desired state of Slack - Improving performance : Ensuring the app's consistent performance by improving collaboration and SaaS integrations - Supporting and escalating : Supporting and escalating technical issues, and resolving Slack escalation queues - Training : Training users on Slack, custom Slack apps, workflow, and other digital workplace tools - Communicating : Communicating and collaborating with internal and external teams - Documenting : Visually mapping and documenting technical solutions Some minimum requirements for a Slack app developer role include : - A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or computer science - At least three years of relevant experience with Slack and SaaS - Knowledge of digital workplace tools, such as Slack Admin, Slack Workflows, Slack Forms, Slack Apps, and APIs - Proficiency with web services and RESTful APIs - Knowledge of databases, including SQL and NoSQL models - Fluency in English (ref:hirist.tech)
