Sunovaa Tech - Mainframe Developer - COBOL/JCL

Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement new mainframe applications and enhancements to existing systems. - Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe applications. - Write, test, and debug COBOL programs, JCL procedures, and DB2 SQL queries. - Maintain and optimize existing mainframe applications for performance and efficiency. - Work closely with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. - Stay up-to-date with the latest mainframe technologies and industry trends. Required Skills and Experience : - 3-6 years of experience in mainframe development. - Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and DB2. - Experience with CICS and IMS is a plus. - Knowledge of mainframe utilities like SORT, SYNCSORT, and REXX. - Understanding of mainframe security concepts. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team (ref:hirist.tech)
