As a Controller at our company, we expect you to be responsible for the following:


Financial Reporting and Analysis:



  1. Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS / GAAP.

  2. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management, highlighting key trends, financial risks, and opportunities.

  3. Ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting of revenue, expenses, and cash flow specific to iGaming operations, including gaming revenue, bonuses, and player liabilities.


Month-End and Year-End Close Processes:



  1. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  2. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and address audit queries.


Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:



  1. Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

  2. Manage relationships with payment service providers and banks, especially for multi-currency transactions.


Regulatory Compliance and Taxation:



  1. Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements specific to the iGaming industry.

  2. Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT / GST, corporate tax, and other iGaming-specific levies.

  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and regulations affecting the iGaming industry.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  1. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  2. Monitor actual performance against budget and report on variances.


Team Management and Development:



  1. Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

  2. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the finance department.


Internal Controls and Process Improvement:



  1. Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

  2. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.


System Management:



  1. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.

  2. Ensure integration of financial systems with iGaming platforms to enable accurate revenue recognition and financial tracking.


Required skills:



  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is preferred.

  2. 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  3. Experience in the iGaming, technology, or online services industry is highly desirable.

  4. Strong knowledge of IFRS / GAAP accounting standards and multi-currency accounting.

  5. Proficiency in financial software such as Omie, SAP, or other ERP systems.

  6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  7. Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  8. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

  10. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  11. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial and operational issues.

  12. Understanding of the iGaming industry’s financial and regulatory landscape.


Will be considered a plus:



  1. Experience in multi-jurisdictional iGaming operations is a plus.

  2. Knowledge of gaming taxation, regulatory compliance, and player fund segregation policies.

  3. Availability to work flexible hours as needed due to global operations and time zone differences.
