SummaryAs a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Large Bank Field Examiner) with emphasis in Asset Management, you will conduct and assist in the supervision of national banks and carry out national bank supervision objectives in more challenging bank environments.Large Bank SupervisionNew York, NY - (preferred location) - Alternate location option or Relocation Incentive available. Help Duties As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Large Bank Field Examiner) with emphasis in Asset Management, you will:Oversee ongoing supervisory efforts for asset management activities.Plan, coordinate, and monitor asset management supervisory activities, including identifying and communicating risk issues, developing supervisory strategies and determining the scope of supervisory activities.Provide leadership and training to other examiners and may instruct at formal schools.Manage team(s) of assisting personnel during asset management supervisory activities.Serve as a consultant to employees and managers. Lead in discussions with large bank management on findings and recommendations.Prepare communications to foster positive changes within the bank.Maintain effective communications within the OCC to ensure that appropriate coordination and follow-up activities take place.Prepare reports of activities and develop responses to address risks. Help Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.There are three key documents that contain important information about your rights and obligations. QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:Conducting examinations, audits, or internal reviews to evaluate a financial institution's asset management activities (e.g., wealth management, investment management, custodial services, corporate trust, retirement products/services, asset securitization, internal controls/risk assessment, third-party/vendor management, etc.), assessing compliance with applicable banking laws and regulations, AND identifying and recommending corrective actions.The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.To receive any credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate the number of hours worked per week, on your resume.EducationEducation cannot be used to qualify for this position.Additional informationThis position is included in the bargaining unit.This position is a Step 2 level position within the NB-V pay band. Step 2 level positions are distinguished by additional job complexity, responsibility, and advanced skill levels required by the work.Alternate location option for New York: New York is the preferred location; though, any U.S. location of the OCC will be considered under an alternative work location provided the location is cost effective, operationally efficient, and complies with the standards contained in the Alternative Location Arrangements PPM 3110-53. If in an alternative location, when traveling to New York, NY, you will be expected to be onsite no later than 1:30 pm on the first workday, departing no earlier than noon on the last workday and there should be no travel on Sunday unless there is a business need approved by your authorizing official in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and/or the OCC FTR Supplement.Relocation incentive approved for New York, NY: one-time payment of 25% of selectee's base pay or 30% of selectee's base pay paid out in installments over three years. To qualify for the relocation incentive, you must relocate to New York, NY. If selected, you will be required to sign a three-year service agreement.
