Job Description
Technical Support Engineer - Java Applications Experience : 1-2 years Key Responsibilities : - Receive and log incoming support tickets. - Prioritize and triage incidents based on severity and impact. - Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in Java applications. - Implement effective problem-solving techniques to resolve issues promptly. - Communicate effectively with clients, both verbally and in writing. - Provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues and solutions. - Manage client expectations and keep them informed throughout the resolution process. - Identify the root cause of recurring issues. - Implement preventive measures to avoid future problems. - Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles. - Share knowledge and best practices with the support team. - Work in shifts to provide 24/7 support coverage. - Be available to handle urgent issues outside of regular working hours. Required Skills and Experience : - 1-2 years of experience in technical support or software development. - Strong understanding of Java programming language and core concepts. - Experience with SQL and database queries. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to analyze logs and identify error patterns. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good understanding of ITIL or similar support frameworks. Preferred Skills : - Experience with application servers like Tomcat or JBoss. - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Perl. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - ITIL certification (ref:hirist.tech)
