Key Responsibilities : Data Architecture & Modeling : - Design, implement, and maintain robust enterprise data models using Erwin Data Modeling tool. - Create logical and physical data models for complex systems to ensure effective data flow and access. - Collaborate with teams to build data architectures that meet business requirements and improve data management. Data Quality & Governance : - Establish data governance frameworks to ensure high data quality standards. - Work with business teams to define and implement data quality metrics and controls. - Conduct data profiling and analysis to improve data consistency and integrity. Platform Expertise : - Design and implement data models on Snowflake and Netezza platforms, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data security. - Develop data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data within Snowflake and Netezza environments. Insurance Domain Expertise (Good to Have) : - Experience in designing data models and architecture specific to the insurance domain to ensure domain-specific requirements are met. Collaboration & Leadership : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data models. - Lead initiatives to improve the overall data architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Performance Optimization : - Optimize existing data models and queries for performance and scalability. - Troubleshoot and resolve data architecture-related issues as they arise. Minimum Qualifications : - 6 years of experience in data architecture and data modeling. - Proficiency with Erwin Data Modeling tool for creating enterprise-level data models. - Strong knowledge of Snowflake and Netezza platforms for data storage and processing. - Experience in data quality management and ensuring high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and governance. - Familiarity with SQL and data profiling tools. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience working in the insurance domain, including knowledge of industry-specific data and processes. - Familiarity with cloud-based data architecture and platforms. - Knowledge of data integration tools and platforms. - Experience with data lake architecture and design (ref:hirist.tech)
