DevOps Engineer - Docker/Kubernetes

Job Description : Key Skills & Experience : Server Deployments and Administration (5 years) : - Strong experience in deploying and managing servers in cloud environments and on-premise. - Familiar with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation for server deployment. Docker & Kubernetes : - In-depth knowledge of containerization with Docker. - Expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration, deploying and managing containerized applications. Azure Cloud Experience : - Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform, including resource management, networking, and deployment. - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes management in Azure cloud environments. CI/CD with Jenkins : - Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. - Familiarity with integrating Jenkins with Azure DevOps or other tools to streamline deployment cycles. Ansible Exposure (Preferred) : - Knowledge or practical experience with Ansible for configuration management, automation, and deployment Tools (Grafana & Prometheus) : - Experience with setting up and managing Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring Kubernetes clusters, applications, and infrastructure. - Ability to create and manage dashboards for tracking system performance, resources, and application health. Alerting and Notification Integration : - Experience in setting up alerting systems using Grafana/Prometheus or other monitoring tools. - Integration of notifications through email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or other systems for system health and performance alerts. Other Considerations : Remote Work Flexibility : - Since this is a remote position, strong communication skills and familiarity with remote work tools (like Jira, Slack, Zoom, etc.) are essential. Market Rate Compensation : - Pay scales for Azure DevOps roles vary widely depending on location, experience, and the specific needs of the employer. - Typically, for a role with 5 years of experience and the listed skill set, the market salary can range from $100,000 to $160,000 annually in North America, and similar ranges may apply globally, adjusted for the local market.
