Quality Technician / CMM Programmer
Northampton
Permanent
£35 - 45k per annum
Overview
EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a precision engineering company located in Northampton that is a leading specialist in the manufacturing of precision-engineered components. Due to our client's increased workload, they are looking to expand their inspection department and are therefore looking for a Quality Technician / CMM Programmer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities will include;
* Running CMMs using PC DMIS software
* Liaison with other departments such as manufacturing, quality, engineering, and sales to ensure delivery of conforming products
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Manual quality inspection
What experience do you need for this CMM focused role?
* Strong quality inspection background
* Experience programming and/or setting & operating using PCDMIs software
* Ability to perform inspection activities (both visual and dimensional) using manual measuring equipment
* Experience of carrying out First off and Final Inspection
* Confidence identifying non-confirming products
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong understanding of ASME standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
* Strong attention to detail
* Good communications skills and the ability to work well within a team

* Salary - £35-45k per annum depending on experience
* Hours; Initially Days but flexibility to work shifts when required (negotiable start and finish times)
