SummaryAs a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will serve as a senior management official who reports directly to the Deputy CIO for Infrastructure and Shared Services (ISS). You will also plan, organize, implement, and direct activities associated with the delivery of infrastructure services (network, telecom, server and/or storage services).This position is located in Information Technology Services within Washinton, DC. Help DutiesAs a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will:Serve as a principal advisor to senior management on infrastructure service delivery. Represent the OCC at meetings and conferences on infrastructure service delivery.Supervise assigned staff and direct the resources necessary to carry out the assigned program (network, telecom, server and/or storage services).Exercise oversight and integration control over the organization's information technology, applications, technical infrastructure, data structure/management and technical customer support requirements in support of a wide range of entities.Manage a large and complex network including conducting cost-benefit analyses and total cost of ownership and capacity studies; establishing routing schema; establishing security practices; developing contingency and recovery plans; maintaining directory services; managing domain name services; providing intranet, Internet, or extranet gateways; and coordinating other actions to ensure the implementation of networks that support mission requirements.Establish objectives and goals to support the OCC strategic plan. Provide planning and resource management to ensure that activities support the OCC objectives and goals.Lead efforts to develop, implement, and manage long and short-term IT plans in compliance with IT strategic plan. Provide expert input to the development and implementation of the mission, goals, and objectives as an authority on managing systems operations and performance.Direct the implementation of project plans to meet objectives and manages project resources. Manage assigned projects; communicating complex technical requirements to nontechnical personnel; and preparing and presenting briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.Manage the planning, direction, and execution of all organizational operations through a subordinate staff of supervisors; and provide administrative and technical oversight to subordinate staff. Help Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.There are three key documents that contain important information about your rights and obligations. QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:To qualify for the NB-VII level, you must have specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, NB-VI or GS-14 in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position includes: Overseeing the delivery of infrastructure services in areas of network, telecommunications, server and/or storage services.The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.To receive any credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate the number of hours worked per week, on your resume.Education Education cannot be used to qualify for this position.
