Job Description

Job Purpose: As a Desktop Support Engineer , you will play a vital role in providing technical assistance to end-users, ensuring their IT systems operate efficiently and securely. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT deployments, and contributing to data security and management processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripheral devices. Manage hardware and software deployments, updates, and upgrades. Assist with IT security protocols, including virus/spam control and backup processes. Document issues, resolutions, and processes to maintain accurate records. Train and assist users in utilizing IT systems effectively. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for system maintenance and repairs. Support data management activities and ensure compliance with IT security standards. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues, and familiarity with IT security principles. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a customer-centric approach. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
